Giesen WPG Sample Roaster (Propane) – Used
This used Giesen WPG sample roaster is purpose-built for precision: experimenting, testing, and comparing roasts with the kind of control that's hard to get on a production-scale machine. With batch sizes from 50–200 grams and a throughput of up to 800 grams per hour, it's the right tool for quality control, green coffee evaluation, R&D, and small-batch profile development.
Adjustable drum speed, airflow, and temperature give roasters fine control over every batch, ensuring repeatable results whether you're dialing in a new origin or comparing roast curves side by side. This demo unit comes finished in white, with three cooling trays and a matching presentation table included — making it as well-suited to roastery workshops, cupping labs, and masterclasses as it is to back-of-house QC.

We stand behind the coffee equipment we sell and are committed to ensuring our customers have a reliable and enjoyable experience with their machines. Our team is available to support installation, warranty service, and ongoing maintenance throughout the life of your equipment.
Warranty coverage may vary by manufacturer, but the following outlines the standard warranty policies for equipment purchased through our company.
Used & Refurbished Equipment Warranty
Used or refurbished machines sold by us include:
- 3-month parts warranty
- 3-month labor warranty (within our service area)
These warranties cover defects in parts and workmanship, but do not cover normal wear components.
Warranty details may vary depending on the specific used or refurbished machine. Please consult your salesperson for complete information or with any questions regarding warranty coverage.
Customers Outside Our Service Area
Customers located outside our service area can still purchase equipment from us.
In these cases, we will:
- Help connect you with a trusted local service partner
- Coordinate installation support
- Assist with manufacturer warranty claims
- Provide guidance for long-term service and maintenance
Some manufacturers also offer authorized installation packages, which we can help coordinate.
Installation Requirements
Customers are responsible for ensuring that their site is properly prepared prior to installation.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Electrical requirements
- Plumbing connections
- Proper drainage
- Adequate counter space and ventilation
- Required water filtration systems
If the site is not ready when the technician arrives, additional service and travel charges may apply, and installation may need to be rescheduled.
Water Quality & Filtration Requirements
Proper water quality is one of the most critical factors in protecting coffee equipment.
Water that is too hard, too soft, or improperly filtered can cause:
- Scale buildup
- Boiler damage
- Valve and pump failure
- Premature equipment breakdown
Damage related to poor water quality, scale, or lack of filtration is not covered under warranty.
Many manufacturers provide water testing guidelines or kits. For example, some espresso machine manufacturers include water test kits to verify that water meets their specifications.
Espresso Analyst can help with:
- Installation of appropriate water filtration
- Test water quality where required
- Maintain and replace filters according to manufacturer guidelines
Failure to meet manufacturer water specifications is one of the most common causes of equipment failure and warranty denial.
Our team is happy to recommend appropriate filtration solutions during the purchasing process.
Items Not Covered Under Warranty
The following items and conditions are typically not covered under equipment warranties:
Normal wear parts, including but not limited to:
- Group gaskets
- Portafilter baskets
- O-rings
- Grinder burrs
- Plastic hoppers
- Filters and screens
Damage caused by:
- Poor water quality or scale buildup
- Lack of cleaning or routine maintenance
- Improper installation
- Accidental damage or misuse
- Power surges or electrical issues
- Unauthorized repairs or modifications
- Operation outside manufacturer specifications
- Removal or alteration of serial numbers
- Damage during shipping is handled by third-party carriers
Shipping costs associated with warranty returns may also not be covered unless specified by the manufacturer.
Manufacturer Warranty
Many products carry warranties directly from the manufacturer. These warranties may include:
- Extended parts coverage
- Additional service requirements
- Authorized technician restrictions
- Specific maintenance requirements
When purchasing equipment through us, your sales representative will provide details about the exact warranty coverage for that product and brand.
Note: Used equipment includes a warranty only for items that are repaired or replaced by our team. The warranty does not cover the entire machine or all of its components.
If you experience an issue with equipment purchased through us, please contact our service team, and we will help diagnose the problem and coordinate repairs.
If the product was purchased through another reseller, we recommend contacting them first so they can assist with the warranty process.
