Espresso Machine Technician

Job description:

An Apprentice Coffee Tech at Espresso Analyst is a position in which the candidate will complete apprenticeship training with the end goal of becoming a Master Coffee Tech. An Apprentice Coffee Tech will learn to understand the theory and practice of working on various coffee equipment and will be trained to understand how equipment impacts coffee flavor.

A successful candidate for this position is someone who is willing and able to learn, and who has the capacity to troubleshoot and follow complex processes. This role requires an eagerness to learn about coffee, water, electrical theory, mechanical theory, and their practical application. The ability to work hard and treat co-workers and customers with respect is the Golden Standard for Espresso Analysts.

    Requirements/Experience:
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge of tools and ability to use basic hand tools
  • Ability to work well with others and strong communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret instruction manuals
  • Ability to lift 100 lbs.
  • Clean, valid driver's license

Job Duties/Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Being punctual
  • Reporting to manager
  • Completing tasks in a timely and professional manner
  • Flexibility for travel (Field Techs)
  • Staying productive while in the shop
  • Keeping company property clean and in good working order

Position: Full-time, 9–5 Monday–Friday, with weekend on-call rotation

Pay: $16.00–$24.00 per hour, or TBD by management.

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • Customer Service: 1 year (Required)
  • Mechanical Knowledge: 1 year (Required)
